DAY 1: (Wed) US / BEIJING Take international flight from US to Beijing, the Capital of China. Three meals and movies provided on board. DAY 2: (Thurs) BEIJING In the afternoon you will be met at the Beijing Capital International Airport by our representatives and taken to your hotel. DAY 3: (Fri) BEIJING (AB, L, SD) After breakfast, visit the Palace Museum, known as the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, the largest square in the world, emperor's Summer Palace and the Temple of Heaven where the emperors used to pray for good harvest. Enjoy Peking duck dinner. DAY 4: (Sat) BEIJING (AB, L, D) Today, explore the famous Great Wall, Ming Tombs, the well-preserved imperial cemetery of Ming Dynasty. Enjoy the Beijing acrobatic show in the evening. DAY 5: (Sun) BEIJING / HANGZHOU (via Shanghai) (AB, L, D) This morning you will fly to Shanghai. Upon arrival at Shanghai airport, you will be met and transferred to the city of Hangzhou, the most beautiful city in the world as praised by Marco Polo. You will tour the Pagoda of Six Harmonies, built in the year 970, and view goldfish at Flower Harbor at the West Lake, which is considered one of the top ten scenic attractions of the West Lake. DAY 6: (Mon) HANGZHOU / WUXI (AB, L, D) After breakfast, you will cruise the scenic West Lake and enjoy fascinating sceneries around the lake. Visit a tea orchard and learn the Chinese tea culture. Then take an afternoon bus to Wuxi. Stay overnight at one of the deluxe hotels in Wuxi. DAY 7: (Tues) WUXI / SUZHOU (AB, L, D) The excursion today takes you to the clay figurine studio and the beautiful Tai Lake. In the afternoon, you will take a bus ride to Suzhou, often referred to as the "Venice of the East" and noted for its landscaped classic gardens. Visit one of the classic gardens and the silk factory upon arrival in Suzhou. DAY 8: (Wed) SUZHOU / SHANGHAI (AB, L, D) Today you will cruise part of the Grand Canal within the city proper of Suzhou and visit Tiger Hill. After lunch, you will take a bus ride back to Shanghai. On your way, you will spend a few hours at Zhouzhuang, a village of more than one thousand years history near Suzhou, where you will experience the serene country lifestyle of the local residents, and enjoy the "old world" architecture and the local customs that have been so well preserved. DAY 9: (Thus) SHANGHAI (AB, L, SD) Today you will visit the Bund, Yu Garden, bustling Nanjing Road and the famous Shanghai Museum of Art & History. Attend a farewell dinner party in the evening. DAY 10: (Fri) SHANGHAI / US (AB) The morning will be free for your leisure. You will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home in the afternoon. (Because you will be crossing back over the international dateline, your arrival in the US will be on the same day.)
