TRIP DETAILS
DAY 01	Depart from Los Angeles to the beautiful island Taiwan
DAY 02	Arrive in Taipei in the morning, transfer to Yangmingshan where you can spot Taiwan Blue Magpie (Urocissa caerulea) and Whistling Thrushes (Myophonus insularis). Visit the National Palace Museum, which keeps the largest quantity in the world of China��s ancient artifacts. (L, D)
DAY 03	Transfer to Sanyi to visit the wood carving village and the Museum of Wood Sculpture. There you will see artifacts from the past and modern sculptures. You will of course also see sculptures that are carved into the shape of beautiful birds. Forward to the Sun Moon Lake to visit Wen Wu Temple, Tszen Pagoda, and Shinan Tzang Temple. (B, L, D)
DAY 04	Visit Xitou and Anmashan. At Anmashan, you can see as many as 13 different species of birds that can only be seen in Taiwan. In addition, Anmashan is the best place to see Swinhoe��s (Lophura swinhoii) and Mikado Pheasants (Syrmaticus mikado). Xitou is ideal for viewing mid-elevation mountain birds such as the Taiwan Yuhina (Yuhina brunneiceps), Steere��s Liocichlas (Liocichla steerii), and Taiwan Tits (Macholophus holsti). Transfer to Tainan in the evening. (B, L, D)
DAY 05	We move to see The Black-faced Spoonbill (Platalea minor), Taiwan��s most treasured bird. ��Critically endangered,�� fewer than 700 are believed to exist and more than 300 of them winter every year from October through April in the Zengwen River Estuary. In the afternoon, we visit the Museum of Salt Industry. After dinner, you can take a walk around Taiwan��s oldest city Tainan and get the authentic local taste of Taiwan. (B, L, D)
DAY 06	Tainan city tour including Great Queen of Heaven Temple, Chihkan Tower, Sacrificial Rites Martial Temple, Confucius Temple, Prefectural City God Temple. Afternoon, transfer to airport and conclude the birding tour. If you would like to stay in Taiwan longer, we will be glad to arrange for you. (B, L)
